Do you love books and want to tell the world (or Lamar County) about a great book you've read? Make a poster. Bring it to the library. We will vote and give away prizes. Posters will be displayed in the library all week.
We will be using diamond art gems to bedazzle book covers. This is a tedious but rewarding craft. It is best suited for people with longer attention spans. It may take us more than one program to complete our works. Feel free to bring your own book or choose from some we have collected. Gems, pens, adhesive and limited number of books included. Please register at the circulation desk.

A cake walk is a fun game, similar to musical chairs but with numbered squares and books as prizes. Participants walk around a circle of numbered squares while music plays. When the music stops, whoever is standing on the number that is drawn from a container wins a book!
