Do you love books and want to tell the world (or Lamar County) about a great book you've read? Make a poster. Bring it to the library. We will vote and give away prizes. Posters will be displayed in the library all week.
Have you ever read a Pigeon book? Around here we love author and illustrated Mo Willems, who created Pigeon. We will honor him and his work with this week's storytime themed after his beloved character Pigeon. Join us.
A cake walk is a fun game, similar to musical chairs but with numbered squares and books as prizes. Participants walk around a circle of numbered squares while music plays. When the music stops, whoever is standing on the number that is drawn from a container wins a book!
To celebrate the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, our storytime theme will align with the holiday. Come learn something about the celebration of the New Year with crafts, songs and stories.
